‘Or Thinking About It’, follows the lives of 2 colleagues who work in an office, side by side day in day out. Both have many thoughts and both have many dreams, but each is dismissive of the other. ‘Or Thinking About It’ allows a glimpse into the thoughts of two very different women, but are they really that different? Inspired by the constant attack on women through magazines to be a certain way, whether it be their weight, life style or aspirations. The piece also challenges the idea of older women and their place in society, as we grow ever more dismissive of the older generation, whilst many older women chase an expensive dream of looking young again. As ever Magpies Three capture the audiences’ imagination with clever and witty word play, whilst engaging them with a brilliantly written and delivered script, bringing out some of the funniest challenges of being a woman, if I say trampoline you say….
